Exiles, a documentary film by Mariana Vinoles, Cronopio film, Uruguay, 90’ (2011).

Through the gaze of the filmmaker, the camera dives into her film archives and her life, to tell the story of her father, her two brothers, and her close friend, who have decided to leave their country in search of new horizons, as a consequence of the last economic crisis that the country experienced.

From an intimate and personal point of view, Exiles tells the story of so many Uruguayans and ultimately of so many other peoples, who over the decades, have built their history in exile.
